![]() With today being Mother's Day, I decided real estate should be put on the back burner for this one post. If you don't agree, click that red "X" at the top right of your screen - bye! Oh, good, you're still here. Congrats, you have sense and some intelligence for "yo Momma"- please keep reading. This weekend I packed up the car (and my fur child) and headed to the Upstate of South Carolina to spend the weekend with family, but most importantly, my Mom. I had a closing Friday afternoon that lasted longer than the norm, but as soon as I was done, I hit the office to finalize a contract then headed back to pack up the car to make it for late dinner reservations at Sassafras in Downtown Greenville. The dinner was FAB and the company - even better. My Mom and I were joined by my sis and mother-in-law. Skip forward to Sunday around 10am, Mom and I headed to NewSpring Church. Lysa TerKeuest was the guest speaker delivering the message today. If you haven't ever heard of this woman then we are on the same ship - like the Titanic sized ship - I had not either until today. Lysa was chosen by our Pastor to give the message this Mother's Day. Why? Oh, just cause she has FIVE kids and knows a crap ton - no biggie. Here is an excellent recap of today's message. Lysa made me realize and respect my Mom even more. As we age, we get more cognitive of situations and Mother's Day is one of those "situations" because my Mom is one of my people -mess with her and you mess with me. Though I'm not a Mom to a human child currently, (just sweet, little fur) I can start to picture the love of a Mother and all that entails. Maybe one day I can completely relate, but until that day comes, here's to the AWESOME Mothers out there! You are loved and appreciated for your selfless dedication to you children. We love you. Lauren
